Re: mba vs bachelor of business

An MBA is a master of business administration degree, and a BBA is a bachelor of business administration degree.

They are two different and distinct levels of education. The BBA is a four-year undergraduate degree, whereas the MBA is an advanced degree that you earn after completing a bachelor's degree

BBA degree:

A BBA as an undergraduate degree typically offered by a university's School of Business. Unlike a traditional academic degree, like a bachelor's in economics, the BBA is an applied degree that focuses on the applications of economic theory to the real-world corporate environment.

MBA degree:

An MBA is a graduate professional degree that, like the BBA, is offered by the university's school of business and focuses on the applications of economic theory.

Unlike the BBA, the MBA is a graduate degree that requires students to have a bachelors degree in order to gain admission.

Degree Requirements

A BBA is a traditional four-year undergraduate degree that typically requires 120 credits for completion.

Students take core liberal arts courses, some required business courses and a number of optional business courses.

Since the BBA is a general business administration degree, business electives allow students to focus on finance, marketing or another field.

MBA degree requirements:

The MBA is usually much shorter. MBA programs range greatly, but 30 to 60 credits are typical. Full-time students often complete within one to two full years, while part-time MBA students may spend three to five years.
