The Electrical Engineering office or EE office is situated on the second floor of the Girish Gaitonde building (GG Building). The office handles requests related to the academic and administrative needs of the department.

At first there were three principle specializations in the division, to be specific, Electronics, Electro-Vacuum Technology, and Machines. With the improvements in Electrical Engineering, by 1964, Electronics and Machines developed into three specializations, to be specific, Power Systems and Drives, Communication Engineering, and Control and Instrumentation. Then again, Electro-Vacuum Technology got to be Electron Devices and Technology.

At present there are five specializations in the Electrical Engineering office, in particular, Communications and Signal Processing, Control and Computing, Power Electronics and Power Systems, Microelectronics, and Electronic Systems.
