The Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited conducts the recruitment of efficient candidates into Officer Trainee posts.

The HPCL Examination consists of two phases i.e

Written Test
Personal Interview

The HPCL Officer Trainee Written Examination consists the following features :

The written consists of two sections.
Section I consist of General Aptitude.
There will be 120 questions from Section I.
Section II consists of Technical Paper of chosen discipline.
There will be 40 questions from Section II.
The paper is of Objective type i.e Multiple Choice Questions.

Duration of Exam: 2 Hours

Syllabus of General Aptitude:

Synonyms & Antonyms, Grammar Based Questions, Reading Comprehension (40 Questions)

LR (Logical Reasoning) and DI (Data Interpretation)

Quantitative Aptitude- Ratios, Percentages, Permutations & Combinations, Ages and Series (40 Questions)

Intellectual Ability based questions (40 Questions)

Syllabus for Professional Knowledge Section:

Petroleum Composition and process, Chemical Technology, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Process Instrumentation etc.

Criteria:

You must score the minimum cut off marks as required for this purpose and clear the written exam.

The candidates who qualify in the written exam shall be called for the final and the next round of exam i.e.

Personal Interview scheduled to be held subsequently after the written exam for all the written qualified candidates only.

You must score the minimum qualifying marks in the interview as well so that they are finally selected for the concerned post.
