Himachal Pradesh University HPU conducts B.Ed Entrance Test for admission in B.Ed courses in the University.

HPU B.Ed Entrance Test Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s Degree (Medical/Non-Medical/Commerce/Arts) and or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanity, Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other equivalent qualification

45% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped categories

85% seats are reserved for Bonafide/Domicile candidates of H.P. and 15% to the candidates of other States.

One supernumerary seat for Single Girl Child is reserved in the dept of Education H.P. University, Shimla

Age Limit-

There is no upper age limit

Entrance Test Pattern-

The B.Ed Entrance Test will consist of one questions paper with 150 MCQ type of one mark each

Exam will be of 2 hours duration

There will be no negative marking and will include the following five sections:

General Awareness (Mainly HP & India): 40 Questions & 40 Marks

Language & Comprehension (Hindi & English): 40 Questions & 40 Marks

Logical Reasoning: 40 Questions & 40 Marks

Knowledge of National Commissions/Committees: 20 Questions & 20 Marks

Teaching Aptitude & Aptitude: 20 Questions & 20 Marks

Total - 150 No. of Questions and 150 Marks
