Lateral entry admissions to Dual Degree Programmes offered by IIIT (International Institute of Information Technology), Hyderabad is specialized mode of Admissions for students who have finished their B.E. / B. Tech II year in other Engineering colleges and have a strong desire to work on research problems.

Admissions are restricted to:
Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering and Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering by Research
Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Master of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering by Research

One needs to spend a minimum of 4 years to complete the course credits and thesis work. The programme is based on successful completion of a research thesis.

Admission is based on performance in an Entrance Examination (computer based test) and an interview. The exam is to be held on April 21, 2018(Saturday) across multiple cities.

Only candidates shortlisted through this exam will be called for an interview. The last date for submission of application of online application is March 15, 2018.

Eligibility
CSD: Applicants completing their II year of B.E. / B. Tech. in CSE / IT by July 2018
ECD: Applicants completing their II year of B.E. / B. Tech. in ECE / ETE / EIE / EEE by July 2018

One should have an aggregate of 80% marks (or 8/10 cumulative grade point average) at the end of their 3rd semester.
