The Indian Maritime University was established through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) on 14th November 2008 as a Central University and is poised to play a key role in the development of trained human resource for the maritime sector.

IMU CET is conducted by Indian Maritime University (IMU). The Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted for admission to various campuses of IMU and its affiliated institutes.

IMU CET Application Forms are available from April 1, 2016 onwards and the last date to apply for same is May 13, 2016.

Mode of IMU CET is online and the exam was conducted on June 4, 2016.
