JIPMER PG entrance exam is conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry for admissions to Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD) programmes in various courses offered under Clinical and Basic Clinical subjects.

JIPMER PG Eligibility Criteria:

MBBS along with the compulsory rotating internship and have obtained a registration number from Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council

The candidates must possess MBBS or an equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India

A candidate must have completed the required period of 12 months of rotating internship

Indian Nationals, Overseas citizens of India and Foreign Nationals can apply for these programmes

JIPMER PG Exam Pattern:

For MD/MS:

Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)

Number of Questions: 250 Objective based multiple choice questions

Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct response

Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes
