The Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management is an autonomous graduate business school in Kolkata, India. It is the first institute in India to offer an MBA degree. It was established in 1953.

MBA is important because today's dynamic business environment requires graduates who can effectively handle decisions. Including working with and leading people.

Admission Requirement

Honours Degree with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PWD) in any discipline/Graduate in any professional course (Engineering, Medicine, 5 year LLB etc.) of a recognized University or a degree considered equivalent thereto and fulfills other conditions stipulated by Calcutta University for the Course.

(2) Candidates must have (I) a minimum of 2 years work experience in Executive/ Supervisory level and (II) must be employed in a full time job at the time of admission.

This Programme has executive student profile ranging from frontline supervisors to senior level managers, from different private & public sectors involved in Engineering, IT, Processing & Manufacturing, Marketing and Financial Institutions.
