Following is USQ MBA Ranking of Australia:

According to Management Development Institute, “USQ’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) has been named as one of the top 20 MBA’s in Australia in a survey by Financial Review BOSS magazine.

The university’s MBA program achieved a ranking of 18 in the 2011 survey, the first time USQ has been ranked in the top 20 MBAs by Financial Review BOSS.

Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law Professor Allan Layton said the ranking was a very good position from which to build.

‘It is a substantial achievement to make the Top 20 list but it brings with it pressure to maintain performance, especially in relation to external accreditations and/or Alumni ratings,’ Professor Layton said.

‘USQ achieved a solid ranking and one that is especially pleasing given the scale of our operation, 1604 students, relative to others in the list.

‘Universities from the Top 10 generally aim at highly selective recruitment from senior executive levels and then teach those cohorts in smaller, predominantly on-campus face-to-face classes.

‘USQ’s MBA is primarily targeted at career enhancement for entry and middle level managers and the teaching mode is predominantly online.’

Professor Layton said the USQ MBA Alumni responded very favourably to the BOSS magazine survey

‘Going forward, it would certainly be quite an achievement if the USQ MBA were to achieve a Top 15 status by the next BOSS rankings due in 2013.”
