About the Department

Meenakshi Sundararajan Engineering College inaugurated the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the academic year 2011-12. It is establishing state of the art laboratories in mechanical engineering. The department has laid emphasis in the following areas:

Mechanical system and control areas including Mechatronics and Robotics.
Precision machining and testing laboratories with CNC Machines.
Energy engineering with particular reference to renewable energy systems.

Department Activities

An International Multi-Disciplinary Conference On Solar Energy(IMDCSE 2012) was organised during Feb. 1-3, 2012.

It was designed to hold a detailed discussion on all aspect of solar energy engineering including solarPV and solar thermal systems.

It had participation from International experts and Indian Industry leaders.

A Seminar on Centrifugal Pumps was organised on August 6, 2012, which had three talks from experienced experts.
