Hello sir, I’m preparing for CGPSC exam and I want to know the pattern of exam paper. Please provide me here a new exam pattern of CGPSC?

The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission is an authorized organization working under the state government of Chhattisgarh. The CGPSC does all the required procedures for recruitment of capable candidates into state civil services.

Mains Exam Pattern:
The Main Examination shall consist of the following papers and each paper shall be of Three hours time duration and Interview will be of 150 Marks.
Main Examination will be conventional essay type.

Paper Subject Marks
Paper – I Language 200 Marks
Paper – II Essay (Candidates should write two Essays one from each section compulsorily) 200 Marks
Paper – III History, Constitution and Public Administration 200 Marks
Paper – IV Science, Technology and Environment 200 Marks
Paper – V Economics & Geography 200 Marks
Paper – VI Mathematics & Logical Ability 200 Marks
Paper – VII Philosophy & Sociology 200 Marks

CGPSC Exam Pattern
Exam Pattern of CGPSC:
The selection will be done via three steps that are Preliminary Exam, Mains Examination and Interview
The Preliminary Examination will be Objective type.
There will be 2 papers in Preliminary exam the duration will be 02 hours for each paper.
The main Examination will be of Descriptive type
Those who qualify the main examination will be called for an Interview

CGPSC Prelims Exam Pattern
Exam Pattern for Preliminary Examination
The Questions will be Objective Type
There will be 2 papers in Prelims : Paper I and Paper II
There will be total 5 options for each answer out of which one option will be correct
For every wrong answer NEGATIVE MARKING will be done.

CGPSC Prelims Paper 1 Exam Pattern
First Question Paper:
The questions will be from General Studies and General Knowledge of Chhattisgarh
The number of questions will be 100 and marks will be 200
There shall be two parts in the paper : PART I AND PART II
Each section will have 50 questions
The duration of exam will be 02 Hours
2 marks will be given for each correct answer and 01 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

CGPSC Prelims Paper 2 Exam Pattern
Second Question Paper:
The questions will be based from General aptitude.
The questions will be 100 and marks will be 200
The time duration will be 02 hours
02 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 01 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

CGPSC Prelims Minimum Qualifying Marks:
The minimum qualifying marks for Unreserved category is 33%
The minimum qualifying marks for reserved category and PWD candidates is 23%
The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit for the main examination.
