Both exams are difficult and need a lot of hard work, efforts and time.

Go through every aspect of the exams before plunging in any kind of preparation. Go through the syllabus. They have no overlap.

If you want to join civil services in India prefer IAS exam and if you interested in management prefer CAT Exam.

CAT- A service to MNC or your own firm Again, a reputed career.Great remuneration.

About IAS:

The Civil Services Preliminary Exam also known as IAS Prelims, is the first stage of the UPSC Civil Services Exam. Each year lakhs of candidates appear for this exam and only those who clear IAS Prelims are eligible for IAS Mains

IAS Eligibility:

The candidate should have a degree from Central, State or Deemed University. Degree from Correspondence Education or distance education, the open university is also accepted.

The candidate age must be 21 years old and not must be greater than 32 years old. For Open category is restrict to 32 years, for OBC category is restrict to 35 years and for SC/ST it is restricted to 37 years old.

Selection Process

There are three stages of selection process –

Preliminary Test
Mains Written Exam
Interview

About CAT:

Common Admission Test (CAT) is national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM).

CAT scores are used for admission to various management courses across the country.

CAT Eligibility:

The minimum qualification required is bachelor’s degree with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD). If the obtained marks are in the form of CGPA then it would be converted to percentage marks based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where the candidate has passed his/her bachelor degree.

I have completed my graduation and planning to apply for higher studies but confused which one to join IAS coaching or CAT. Can you provide me details about IAS or CAT Which Exam to Prepare and provide all basic details about both the exam so that I can decided to apply on any one?
