Re: Institute Of Chemical Technology Mumbai Matunga

The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai was institutes as the Department of Chemical Technology on 1st October, 1933 by the University of Mumbai, through active support of industries and philanthropists. The Institute was most universally known as UDCT, Mumbai. Research has been an integral part of ICT since its inception and it has created over 500 first generation entrepreneurs.

Below is the admission procedure as requested by you:

1. Purchase of Application Form:

This is the primary step to the dream of getting admission in ICT. You need to go to the institute, pay the prescribed fee and purchase the "appropriate form" from the counter. By "appropriate form" we mean the one suitable for you out of the three available forms namely:

B.Chem.-B.Tech form for applying through AIEEE
B.Chem.-B.Tech form for applying through MHT-CET
B.Pharm. form (just one form for Pharmacy as there's no AIEEE quota)

2. Submission of Application Form:

The next step is to cautiously fill in your details in the application form(s) and make sure that the form is completely filled. Your form will straightaway be thrown into the dustbin if it's incomplete and you wouldn't even be informed, so be wary! Carry a few attested copies of the required certificates and documents (no originals required at this point of time) along with your completed application form and head straight to the ICT office. After momentarily scanning through your form, the concerned person should issue a small receipt which you must safely safeguard as it would have to be produced at the time of admission.

3. Display of Merit Lists:

If the application was properly filled in and submitted within time with the necessary documents, your name should feature somewhere on the Merit Lists. Merit List is just a list of applicants who've managed to successfully apply to ICT; ordered from the highest scorer to the lowest. At this juncture you just need verify if your details have been displayed correctly and request for correction in case of any discrepancies. Make sure to check your name in all the lists corresponding to every form through which you've applied.

4. Counseling Rounds:

Check when you are called to appear for counselling at the Institute. Report at ICT along with all your original documents, one more set of attested copies, receipt of the application form and DD/Pay Order of the prescribed fee. At the venue, the students are called one by one (in order of merit) and are offered whatever seats are vacant at that point in time. You have to decide which course you wish to opt for then and there, pay the fees and leave. Even if you aren't able to get into your most preferred branch it is advisable you secure admission in whatever field you're being offered as in the subsequent rounds, students who are already admitted are given preference to change their branch before the new students are offered seats.

List of Documents:

SSC (Std. X) mark sheet
HSSC (Std. XII) mark sheet
School Leaving certificate after passing HSSC (Std. XII)
Certificate of Indian Nationality
MHT-CET 2011 score card/ AIEEE 2011 Score card
