shikha | Re: SSC CGL Tax Assistant Typing Speed Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) is for all those who are selected after SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 2 for the post of Tax Assistant. This is exactly similar to Module 1 of CPT. The only exception is that SSC has clearly written that 2000 depressions have to be made in 15minutes - this should be your minimum speed. Candidates are given a printed English passage that has to be typed in the computer. No formatting (bold, italics etc) is needed. Only typing has to be done. This will not be a big deal if you practice on your computer. Microsoft Word can count characters as well, so you can create your test by typing in a newspaper article of approximately 2000 characters in 15 minutes. This is checked against how many mistakes you make in typing. Only a certain percent of mistakes are allowed. Typing Test - It only includes a typing for 15 Minutes. And you will have to type the printed passage in the computer in 15 Minutes. That means 27 WPM speed. Both the tests are qualifying in nature. You just have to pass them |
