I am providing the NC State University syllabus of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering course for your reference. Go through it. Here is the syllabus. The students will be asked to demonstrate their knowledge of the material covered in MAE 206
through their mastery of the following course objectives. Through the study of MAE 206 the student will be able to:
1. Model physical systems using free body diagrams;
2. Comprehend static equilibrium for particles, rigid bodies, trusses, and frames/machines;
3. Solve for reaction forces and moments;
4. Understand and apply friction and fluid pressures;
5. Calculate and graph internal forces and moments;
6. Calculate centroids and moments of inertia;
