| shikha | Re: MICAT Negative Marking As you want to give MICAT exam and asking for its Negative Marking system , so for it I am telling MICAT exam pattern info which having detail of its Negative Marking: MICAT will comprehensively gauge abilities such as: analytical ability verbal ability logical reasoning divergent thinking written communication skills creativity potential General awareness about contemporary social and industry related issues including areas covering media , marketing, advertising and business Section 1 - 35 minutes - No negative marking Q.1 Write 5 points in favour of the statement Q.2 Write 5 points against the statement Q.3 Write an essay on this topic in 200 words or less. Q.4 Write a story on the basis of the the 9 pictures given. The pictures were of a zebra, a flower, the Red Fort, pulses, caricature of a book reading caterpillar, a pink dress, a tree house, a set of playing blocks and a bed. Section 2 - 90 minutes i) Psychometric Test - No negative marking The first set had 30 statements out of which the candidates had to select 10 statements that best described their personality. In the second set of questions, the candidates had to choose from a set of 2 arguments and rate them according to their personality. The third set of questions, the candidates had to rank various responses under given circumstances on a scale of 1 to 6 where 1 implies highest priority and 6 implies least priority. ii) Reasoning and Verbal Ability - negative marking This section had 35 questions of the following type: Visual Reasoning Data Sufficiency Statement-Conclusion Word Combination There was negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. iii) General Knowledge - negative marking 25 questions on general knowledge and current affairs related to advertising, marketing, films and media. This section also had negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. |
