Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India. 2. Age Limit: Minimum 18-27 Maximum years 3. Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. Expected cut offs 2018 Category Official SSC CHSL Cut off Marks General 127-130 OBC 120-125 SC 119-125 ST 105-112 VH 97-106 OH 97-105 HH 65-68 EXS 65-67 Exam pattern Tier I (Objective Test) - Tier I of SSC CHSL will consist of 4 parts in a single question paper and 25 questions from each part will be asked in the exam. Each question will consist of 2 marks and the candidates will be hours to complete the exam. Questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-I, III & IV. There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer. Check the exam pattern for SSC CHSL Tier I from the table below. The test will be conducted in the pen and paper mode. The duration of the paper is one hour. This paper has been introduced to assess the writing skills of candidates necessary in government jobs. Tier-III (Typing /Skill Test) - The Tier-III Examination is the Skill / Typing Test. This test is of qualifying nature and will not be counted in the preparation of the final merit list. Exam syllabus General Intelligence: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on Semantic Analogy, Symbolic operations, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation ,Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/Number Classification, Drawing inferences ,Figural Classification ,Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding,etc. English Language: Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage. Quantitative Aptitude: Arithematic, Number Systems, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trignometry, Statistical Charts. General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the candidates general awareness of the environment around him, knowledge of current events, matters of everyday observation, experience in scientific aspect, India and its neighboring countries.
