Tenured Associate Professor or tenure-track Assistant Professor of Seafloor Science vacancy Position available - One tenured Associate Professor (full-time) or one tenure-track* Assistant Professor (full-time). Department Department of Ocean Sciences Application Deadline: May 1, 2018 Requirement- Possess a doctoral degree. Possess research achievements in the research areas specified in the above "Educational and research responsibilities". Be able to undertake and conduct lectures on the subjects specified in the above "Educational and research responsibilities". For the Associate Professor recruitment, ability to provide research guidance for the doctoral course preferred. For the Assistant Professor recruitment, ability to provide research guidance for the master's course preferred. Be able to conduct undergraduate lectures either in Japanese or in English, and to conduct post-graduate lectures and research guidance in English. In case of the Associate Professor recruitment, work actively in tasks related to the administrative operation of the University while being engaged in research and education. In case of the Assistant Professor recruitment, work actively in education and in tasks related to the administrative operation of the University while being engaged in research with the allocated 70% effort. In case of the Assistant Professor recruitment, be within 10 years after receiving a doctoral degree (as of October 1, 2018).
