The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is conducted by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) for admission to PhD Course in various disciplines for all seven (7) NIPER's.

NIPER PhD Entrance exam General Eligibility

Candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 6.75 (or 60% marks) for General, 6.25 (or 55% marks) for SC/ST, 5.75 (or 50% marks) for physically handicapped (PH) candidates on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination and should also have qualified GPAT/GATE/NET

Passing GPAT/GATE/NET is an essential qualification for all disciplines except for the following category of candidates:

Candidates holding M.D / M.V.Sc

Registration Fee

For General/OBC/KM/PH category: Rs. 2000/-

For candidates belonging to SC/ST category: Rs.1000/-

NIPER PhD Entrance Exam Pattern 2017

The duration of the entrance test will be of 2 hours.

The question paper will comprise of 200 multiple objective choice questions asked from the related subjects of B.Pharm and M.Sc.

There will be negative marking of in the entrance test for wrong answers given by candidates

For each wrong response ¼ marks will be deducted from the total

Online NIPER Joint Entrance Examination: 25th June 2017

Declaration of result 30th June 2017

Interview for PhD at S.A.S Nagar: 20th & 21st July 2017

Declaration of result at NIPER S.A.S Nagar Notice Board/website for PhD: 22nd July 2017

PhD. Joint Counseling (02.00 pm onwards): 22nd July 2017

Orientation & Commencement of classes: 31st July 2017
