I have completed B.Tech Degree this year. Now I want to apply for UPSC IES Exam. Before applying I want to know about pattern of this exam. So can you give pattern and eligibility details of IES Exam?

The Indian Engineering Service (IES) is well known exam link Civil Service Exam.

This exam is conducted by UPSC every year.

Candidates who are looking to apply for IES Exam, they fulfill following requirements:

Eligibility
Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen

Education: Have a Degree in Engineering from recognized University or Institution.

Having one of following disciplines:
Civil Engineering
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering

Age Limit: 21 – 30 Years

Main Exam

Objective Type Questions
General Studies & Engineering Aptitude
Duration: 2 hours
Total Marks: 200 marks


General Ability Test:
Part A – General English
Part B – General Studies
Duration: 2 hours
Total Marks: 200 Marks

Paper I
