I am waiting for application form for Ph.D Program of Mysore University for this year admissions. Can any one give me expected dates when admission will start? What are research areas offering by Mysore University for Ph.d Program? Is there any admission test conducted by this University?

I want to know the fees of application form of PhD Entrance exam of Mysore University so can you please tell me?

The Mysore University conducts PhD Entrance exam for admisison in various PhD programs in the University.

The application process of Ph.D. Entrance Examination 2017-2018 was held from 20/08/2017 to 09/09/2017.

The Entrance exam was held on 29th October 2017 at University of Mysore and Bangalore Centre

Application fee:

General Merit candidates: Rs. 2000/-

SC/ST/Cat-1/ candidates Rs. 750/-

Payment can be made through Online/Challan in any of the nationalized banks.

No other mode of payment is accepted.

PhD Eligibility:

Candidates who have secured at least 55% of aggregate marks (50% for
SC/ST/Cat-1/A candidate who completed Masters Degree prior to 19th
Sep 1991) or equivalent grade under grading system, in their Masters Degree or
equivalent examination from the recognized Universities/Institution

The following candidates are exempted from the entrance exam

Candidates who have qualified JRF fellowships/lectureship through UGC/CSIRNET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/ICAR Examinations/SLET (K-SET)/GATE are exempted from Entrance Test.

Candidates, who have completed M.Phil Course are also exempted from the
entrance test provided the M.Phil/Equivalent course was through an entrance
examination.

However all such candidates have to undergo an interview before the
probable guide (s) and obtain the consent/acceptance letter from the guide, if
vacancies are available.
