The IGNOU university provides the course of Rural development in Phd and its requirements for admission are:
Min Duration is 2 Years
Max Duration is 5 Years
Course Fee is Rs. 14,000
Age for the course is no bar

Eligibility required:
1)Candidate those possessing MARD with B grade are eligible for Ph D Programme in Rural Development, and submit two papers on their chosen subject for Ph.D and subject to their acceptance by the Doctoral Committee. 2)Candidatess can take admission those who have done M.Phil in any subject (other than Rural Development) may take three compulsory course and they are:
MRD-101 Rural Development-Indian Context
MRD-103 Rural Development Planning & Management
MRD-104 Research Methods in Rural Development
3)other streams candidates(other than Rural Development) not having M.Phil will have to take the same three compulsory subjects as mentioned above.

Mode of Selection
There is no entrance test for enrolment to PhD in Rural Development. The mode of selection is through the rules followed by the college for the PHD in rural development course.
