Here I am giving you information about required Qualification to apply for PCS exam of Punjab Public Service Commission

Eligibility for PCS exam :
Educational Qualifications
The candidate should possess a bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university or institution;

Age limit :
the candidate should have attained the age of 21 years but
should not be older than 38 years on 1st January 2014.


PCS Exam / Punjab Civil Services Exam Eligibility
- You should be a:
Citizen of India; or
Citizen of Nepal; or
Subject of Bhutan; or
Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the Ist January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India; or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganike and Zanzibar) Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India;
-You should possess a degree of bachelor in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- You must have passed punjabi of matric or its equivalent standard
- Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 1st Jan
- Relaxation in age as per Govt. instructions

I General Studies 150
II Civil Services Aptitude Test 150
Total 300

I Punjabi Compulsory 100
II English Compulsory 100
III Essay 150
IV General Studies Paper -I (History, Geography and Society) 250
V General Studies Paper -II (Indian Constitution & Polity, Governance and International Relation 250
VI General Studies Paper -III (Economics, Statistics and Security Issues) 250
VII General Studies Paper -IV (Science and Technology, Enviornment, Problem Solving and Decision Making) 250
VIII Interview 150
Grand Total 1500
