Database-Definition, DBMS, Biological Databases – FASTA, Blast, Genbank, DNA sequence databases, Protein
databases.

UNIT 4 FORMATS OF DATABASE 12 Hrs.
Entry formats, carbohydrate databases, Enzyme databases, Pathway databases. Relational database model. Theory
on RDBMS. SQL.

UNIT 5 DATABASE AND ITS APPLICATIONS 12 Hrs.
Application aspects – gene precdiction, target searchings – drug designing – E- cell, phylogenetic analysis, PERL,
