SSC CGL Tax Assistant Typing Speed

Can you please tell me the minimum speed of typing required to apply for Tax Assistant Post by Staff selection commission conducts combined graduate level SSC CGL exam? Also tell me the other required to apply for this post?

The Data Entry Speed Skill Test for Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax) conducted under SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level) Exam at 2000 key depressions for duration of 15 minutes will be of qualifying nature.

Computer will be provided by the Commission at the Centre/venue notified for the purpose. Candidates shall not be allowed to bring their own Key-board.

Evaluation of Type/ DEST Scripts (English / Hindi)

Nature of Mistakes

A. Full Mistakes: The following errors are treated as full mistakes:-
For every omission of word/ figure.
For every substitution of a wrong word/ figure.
For every addition of a word/ figure not found in the passage.
B. Half Mistakes
The following errors are treated as half mistakes:-
Spacing Errors: Where no space is provided between two words

Or

Undesired space is provided between the words or letters of a word

For every spelling error committed by way of repetition, or addition or transposition or omission or substitution of a letter / letters,

Wrong Capitalization
Wrong use of capital letter for small letter and vice versa (This does not apply to Hindi typewriting scripts). Any corrections made by pen or pencil are ignored and no credit is given to such corrections.

OH candidates opting for post of tax assistant in CBEC are not exempted from skill test. HH and VH candidates are not eligible for exemption from the skill test.

VH candidates may be allowed compensatory time of 20 minutes in DEST at par with typing test. Only those VH candidates who opt for scribes in the written examination will be provided passage reader at the time of skill test. The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature.
