Default Is there any difference between UGC NET and CSIR NET

Can you tell me about the difference between UGC – NET and CSIR - NET exam as I am very confused about it, please help me with this?

CSIR: Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (UGC NET) and CBSE: Central Board of Secondary Education UGC NET. The purpose of both examinations is same, there only a difference in the subjects involved.

Eligibility Criteria for CBSE UGC NET Exam

One must have completed their Post-graduation (PG) or P.h Ds in the relevant subjects with at least 55% Marks.

CBSE UGC NET Paper Pattern

CBSE UGC NET Exam will be divided into three parts or sections:

Paper-I:
The questions are general in nature.
Time- 1 hours 15 minutes
It will include 60 questions, required to attempt 50 questions.
It will carry 100 marks.

Paper-II:
The questions are from chooses subject by the applicants.
Time- 1 hours 15 minutes
It will include 50 questions all are compulsory
It will carry 100 marks.

Paper-III:
The questions are from chooses subject by the applicants.
Time- 2 hours 30 minutes
It will include 70 questions all are compulsory
It will carry 150 marks.


Eligibility Criteria for CSIR and JRF NET Exam

One must have acquired the Master degree in Science stream.
One should get at least 55% and above in the eligibility exam and should have completed the course from a certified university.

JRF Eligibility

JRF: Junior Research Fellowship of Rs. 25, 000/- per month, which is offered by both CBSE-UGC and CSIR to the eligible and qualified applicants through written tests, released two time in a year.

CSIR (JRF) NET Paper Pattern

CSIR NET Exam is organized for the following subjects:
Life Science
Chemical Science
Earth Science
Physical Science
Mathematical Science

Time duration of this exam 3 hours
