Tata Institute of Social Sciences TISS Mumbai has invited applications for Integrated M.Phil-Ph.D and Direct PhD Programs with the various Schools and Independent Centres of the Institute across TISS Mumbai, Tuljapur and Guwahati Campuses.

TISS Mumbai MPhil PhD Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications:

2nd Class Master’s or equivalent degree in the relevant subject awarded by a recognised university in India or abroad, with at least an average of 55% of aggregate marks

In the case of SC/ST applicants, the minimum eligibility is an average of 50% of aggregate marks, or a grade point average of 3.05.

Candidates are required to appear in Research Aptitude Test (RAT) exam for admission.

Selection Procedure-

The applicants will be invited for the Written Test (Research Aptitude Test – RAT) to be held at all the TISS Campuses on February 10th 2017.

Applicants can opt to take the RAT at any of the campuses

Applicants who have cleared JRF, GATE and other relevant exams are also expected to attend the Written Test and Personal Interview.

Announcement of short-listed applicants for RAT: January 30th 2017 (by 09.00 pm)

Research Aptitude Test (RAT): February 10th 2017

Announcement of applicants invited for Personal Interview (PI): February 28th 2017

Personal Interview for Guwahati, Mumbai, Hyderabad & Tuljapur Campus: Between 22nd to 31st March 2017

Announcement of selected candidates (all campuses): April 2017
