The University of Wyoming is a land-grant university located in Laramie, Wyoming, situated on Wyoming's high Laramie Plains.

About University Wyoming Police Department:

The UWPD is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and is staffed by; 15 certified peace officers, 5 security guards, 5 full-time dispatchers, 2 administrative support members and several part-time student employees.

All officers are fully trained and have full arrest authority.

The PD also has 2 Homeland Security Explosive Detection Canines that are available for the region.
