Eligibility
Only Indian citizens can apply

Both Male and Female aspirants are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants in CRPF, CISF, SSB and BSF. However, appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants in ITBP is not meant for the female candidates

Bachelor’s / Graduate degree from a recognized institute is an essential educational requirement

The age of the applicant should lie between minimum 20 – 25 maximum years

Exam pattern
General Ability and Intelligence: The paper will be objective based carrying multiple choice questions.

The question paper will be bilingual – English and Hindi. Maximum marks – 250 marks

General Studies, Essay and Comprehension: Here, candidates will have the option of writing the Essay Component in English/Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension and other language skills will be English only. Maximum marks – 200 marks.

Physical Standards:
Candidates must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards for admission to Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination.

Physical Efficiency Tests (PET):
a. 100 Meters race MalesIn 16 seconds FemalesIn 18Seconds
b. 800 Meters race In 3 minutes 45 seconds In 4 min 45 seconds
c. Long Jump 3.5 Meters (3 chances) 3.0 Meters (3 chances)
d. shot-put (7.26 kgs) 4.5 meters —


Selection Procedure:
Central Police Forces (CAPF) (Assistant Commandants) Examination conducts by Union Public Service Commission for different central forces in India namely SSB, BSF, ITBP, CISF, CRPF. The selection process details are given below.
