Uttarakhand Open University is an Open University located in the city of Haldwani in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.

Assignment on the Animal Diversity and Ecology

Section ‘A’ contains 08 short answer type questions of 5 marks each. Learners are required to answers 4 questions only. Answers of short answer-type questions must be restricted to 250 words approximately.

Briefly discuss the following:

3- Give difference between morphological and phenetic taxonomy.

4- Photoreception in Vertebrates.

5- Explain the status of Biodiversity in India.

6- Structure and Function of neurons.

7- Circulatory system in Arthropods.

8- Give the general characteristic of Protozoa with suitable examples.

Section ‘B’ contains 04 long answer-type questions of 10 marks each. Learners are required to answers 02 questions only.

1- Give the comparative account of integument in different chordates.

2- Give the brief account of major Geographical Biomes and diversity

3- Give the classification of Animal, based on the type of coelome with suitable diagram

4- Describes the Excretory organs of Annelid with diagram.
