IPS Graduation Rate

Indianapolis Public Schools, short topically as IPS, is the biggest school district in Indianapolis as well as in the state of Indiana. Indiana was included to the Union in 1816, with Indianapolis obtaining its charter in 1847. IPS functions one of the best magnet/option programs in the United States, and is the only school corporation in central Indiana to extend magnet/option programs at no cost to students. In 1860, simple schools opened. In 1895, Manual Training High School, later to be recognized as Emmerich Manual High School, was opened.
