MKU School of Biotechnology

The School of Biotechnology which was before as the Department of Biotechnology beneath the School of Biological Sciences was elevated to the level of School of Biotechnology in 1994. The School, with its strength of ten faculty members, is teaching two National level courses, which are very competitive and are placed at a very high level. The school also has National Research services such as Bioinformatics Centre, Centre for Genetic Engineering and Strain Manipulation, Centre for Plant Molecular Biology and National Facility for High Resolution Graphics.
