SSC Section Officer Audit Exam
In 1975 the Subordinate Services Commission was founded below the Government of India. This was named later as Staff Selection Commission. The Staff Selection Commission has been handed with the task of recruiting group ‘B’ non gazetted posts and non-technical group ‘C’ posts in Departments/Ministries, the subordinate offices of the Government, the C.A.G and in the offices of the Accountant General.
The exam comprises of two stages- written exam and an interview. The written exam has two papers. Paper I has two parts. Part A is English Language. The duration for Paper I is 2 hours and it carries a total of 100 marks. Paper II is arithmetic which is conventional type. The duration of Paper II is 2 hours and total marks are 100. Paper I will be fully objective type. The question papers of part B of Paper I and Paper II is set in both Hindi and English. The commission can fix specifying marks for any or all the subjects of the test adding Paper II. The answer sheets of Arithmetic paper will be evaluated for only those candidates who assure the cut-off in Paper I.
A hundred marks Interview follow the written exam. Students have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks fixed by the commission in the written exam. Successful candidates in the written exam are eligible to perform for the interview which is applied at the regional offices of the Commission.
