Citibank India is an Indian private sector bank headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It is a subsidiary of Citigroup which was founded in 1902.


EZ checking will run 5 a month, up from the current $7.50 a month. Previously the fee would be waived if any body kept a minimum balance of $1,500. That threshold will increase to $6,000.

The monthly fee on basic checking will go from $8 to $10. The minimum balance required to get rid of it is $1,500, or signing up for direct deposit and online bill pay.

Premium Accounts
Premium accounts remain a $20 monthly cost, but the minimum balance to waive it will go up to $15,000 from $6,000.

Basic Checking
Citi’s Basic Checking is not quite the same as free checking. You need to make five or more of the following transactions to avoid an $8 monthly fee: Direct Deposit; Debit Card Purchases (PIN and Signature); Citibank Online Bill Payments; Electronic Debit and ACH Payments; ATM Withdrawals


Citigold Checking
Citigold is the premier checking account offered by Citibank. Citigold requires a $500 initial deposit and requires a combined balance of $50,000 across select Citi accounts.
