Hii sir, I wanted to get Admission into the fellowship programmes of IIM banglore ? please tell me IIM banglore has good placement fro the fellow ship programme ?

Yes , As per my knowledge the it is good to do FPM programmes of IIM banglore A. FPM is a full time doctoral programme at IIMB. The programme is committed to train individuals who will excel in their area of research through publication quality work of international standard.


An FPM student receives a stipend of Rs 3,51,600/- per annum, in addition to tuition waiver, to cover living and other expenses

Hostel rooms are provided, for free, for those students who are eligible for financial aid. Those who stay outside campus will get an additional payment of Rs. 8,500 (single students) or Rs. 13,000 (married students) per month as non-residential subsidy

An FPM student is required to provide Teaching and Research Assistance work of 10 hours a week

A start-up grant (Year 1) of Rs. 75,000/- is available for an FPM student to meet expenses on purchasing hardware, software, data base and for purchase of books, which can be reimbursed

Duration:

The duration of this programme is 5 years and Maximum7 years .

Course Structure:


The programme is broadly visualized as consisting of 4 phases of course and research work.

During the first 2 phases, a student does course work over a period not exceeding the first two academic years, interspersed with a summer research project of 10-12 weeks duration.

On successful completion of these phases and the passing of a comprehensive examination (written and viva), the student begins the next two phases of individual research work.

The programme has four categories of courses. They are:

Research Enabling Courses (REC)
Basic Discipline Courses (DC)
Breadth Courses (BC)
Dissertation and Allied Area Courses (DAC)


Admission Eligibility criteria:
Candidates should have
1. A Master's Degree in any discipline, (10+2+3+1 or 2 pattern) with at least 55 percent marks.
(OR)
2. A professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS, with at least 55 percent marks (OR)
3. A 4 year / 8 - semester Bachelor's degree (10+2+4 pattern) with at least 60 percent marks.
We encourage candidates to submit valid test scores from either CAT (2014), or GRE/ GMAT/ GATE/ JRF/ NET but
will also accept applications without any test score. Candidates taking the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE)
must have the official result reported to the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB).
