As per your request I am here telling you about the Assistantship/ Stipend offered to PHD students at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras (IITM).

PHD program :
Half-time Research Assistantship / Stipend

Eligibility Criteria :
All selected Full time scholars of Masters Degree in Engineering / Technology / M.B.B.S or equivalent.

Stipend:
Rs.25,000/- p.m. for the first two years and Rs.28,000/- p.m. for the next three years.

Eligibility Criteria :
Graduate Degree in professional courses (B.E / B.Tech/ or equivalent qualification or Post Graduate inBasic Science (M.Sc or equivalent ) and NET qualified.

Stipend:
Rs.25,000/- p.m. for the first two years and Rs.28,000/- p.m. for the next three years.

To MS scholars stipend offers :
Rs.12,400/- p.m. for two years.

Extension of scholarship to 3rd year will be considered on a case by case manner.

For Dual Degree (B.Tech & M.Tech) - 5th year stipend offers:
Rs.12,400/- p.m. for 12 months, only from 9th semester.

For Dual Degree (B.S & M.S) - 5 years stipend offers:
Rs.60,000/- per annum per student.
