TANCET Stands for Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test

Anna University, Chennai is Main Conducting Authority that Organizes Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET).

TANCET 2017 Exam Dates

Application Form Availability First week of May 2017
Last Date to fill the Application Form Third week of May 2017
Hall Ticket Announced Date First week of June 2017
Date of Entrance Exam Second week of June 2017
Result Declaration Date Last week of June 2017
Counselling Started July 2017

Application Fee :

Candidates have to submit Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) as an application fee for any one of the programme.

If candidates want to apply more than one programme they have to pay Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) for each additional programme through online mode only.

Eligibility Criteria :

Candidate Should be Passed Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years Duration and General Category Contenders Obtained at least 50 % marks and candidates belonging to reserved category should have obtained 45% marks in qualifying degree examination.

Selection Process:

Selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in written test and after that qualified aspirants will be called for Counselling.

TANCET Exam Pattern :

The Duration of the Entrance Exam will be 2 hours.

For each correct answer 1 mark will be given to the candidates.

For incorrect response, 1/3 mark will be deducted.

The Entrance Exam of MBA & MCA will be Conducted on the same date but in different time.

The Entrance Exam of ME/M. Tech/M. Arch/M. Plan will be held on separate dates.
