GRE or Graduate Record Examinations General Test is the only admissions test for graduate or business school. It features question types that closely reflect the kind of thinking one do in graduate or business school. It is available at more than 1,000 test centers in more than 160 countries. In most regions of the world, the computer-delivered test is available on a continuous basis throughout the year. For individuals testing on or after July 1, 2016, GRE test scores are valid for five years after your test administration date. Score Scales Three scores are reported on the GRE General Test: a Verbal Reasoning score reported on a 130–170 score scale, in 1-point increments a Quantitative Reasoning score reported on a 130–170 score scale, in 1-point increments an Analytical Writing score reported on a 0–6 score scale, in half-point increments Any section in which answer no questions at all will be reported as a No Score (NS) Official GRE score report contains ones: Contact information (name, phone number and email) Date of birth Gender Intended graduate major Test date (s) GRE test score(s) and the associated percentile ranks Authorized score recipients or fellowship sponsors and the scores reported to those institutions Cumulative record of scores reported within the last five years Official score reports sent to the institutions designate include ones: Contact information (name, address, phone number, email) Intended graduate major GRE test score (s) and the associated percentile ranks |
