Eligibility
Admission Eligibility to PhD in Engineering/ Architecture
A Masters degree in engineering /Technology/ Architecture In concerned discipline with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks in case of Open/OBC candidates in qualifying degree.

Meanwhile, for SC/ST candidates’ 55% marks in qualifying degree or a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is enough for applying a PhD in Engineering/ Architecture program at NIT Hamirpur.

Admission Eligibility of Ph.D. in Applied Sciences
A Masters Degree in Concerned discipline with CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) or 60% marks is mandatory for the candidates belonging Open/OBC caste. Meanwhile, for SC/ST candidates’ 55% marks in qualifying degree or a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is enough fir applying Ph.D. in Applied Sciences at NIT Hamirpur

Admission Eligibility of Ph.D. in Humanities & Social Sciences at NIT Hamirpur

A Masters degree in the concerned discipline with 60% aggregate CGPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is enough for the candidates belonging from General Category. If the candidate is hailed from a OBC tribe, a 5% mark relaxation (i.e. 55% marks) or a CGPI of 6.0 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent) is enough for applying the course.
