Yes the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Patna is invited candidates for admission to even semester full time and part time Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs.

The Institute offers PhD Program under the Department of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Humanities & Social Science, Mathematics and Physics

Eligibility:
Candidate should have M.Tech/ME/M.Arch or equivalent degree with at least 6.5 CGPA in aggregate from IITs/NITs/ GFTIs and qualified national level graduate entrance test, such as, GATE/UGC-NET/CSIR-NET or equivalent or holding a national level fellowship

Date of Admission Test: 21st January 2016 (10.00 am to 12.00 noon)

Date of Result of Written Admission Test: 21st January 2016 (by 6.30 pm)

Date of Interview for eligible candidates: 22nd January 2016 (09.30 am onwards)

Date of Merit List of Selected Candidates: 25th January 2016

Admission & Registration in 1st Semester: 28th and 29th January 2016

Commencement of Classes: 01st February 2016
