I want to know the eligibility criteria to apply for JIPMER MBBS Entrance Examination so can you tell me?

JIPMER Entrance Examination is the national level medical entrance exam conducted by the Jawaharlal Institute Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Pondicherry (JIPMER) for admission to its MBBS programme.

JIPMER Entrance Exam 2016 was conducted on 5th June 2016

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed/appearing the 12th or senior secondary education or its equivalent examination from a recognized board in India.

The candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology and English in the qualifying examination in order to appear for the examination.

The candidates must have obtained the 50% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH category) in the qualifying examination.

Appearing candidates can also apply.

The candidates appearing for the exam must have completed their age of 17 years. There is no upper age limit.

Exam Pattern-

There will be 200 objective type question asked from Physics, Chemistry, Biology Logic & Quantitative Reasoning and English Comprehension.

The mode of the question paper will be in English only and there will be no negative marking.

One marks will be given to the candidates for correct response.

Application Fees-

Candidates have to pay the application fees of Rs 1000/- for the candidates belonging to general category

Rs 800/- for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST)

OPH candidates are exempted from application fee.

Candidates can pay the fee through online mode only (Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card).
