The list is as follows: FM/AM radio jockeys Public radio station jockeys Play music or talk or both Interaction with an audience Talk Radio Jockeys Only talk for the entire time period of the show Discuss different social and political issues Interaction with audience Sports talk Radio Jockeys Discuss sports news Jockey has to be a former athlete, a television anchor or sportswriter Interaction with audience Satellite Radio Jockeys Same as FM/AM radio jockeys Not regulated by any board Can talk or play explicit content without considering the sensitivity of the issue Employment opportunities: A candidate may join AIR, Times FM, Radio Mid-day, Radio Star, Radio Wani and other independent radio stations. After sometime a jockey can also apply for voice over commercials, television shows and movies. The candidates will get 7000-10000 salary per month, but with the time, one can also get 2500-3000 per day after gaining experience. |
