For joining the defence, candidates need to give the CDS exam conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. Eligibility creteria: Nationality: The candidate must be Indian. Age Limit: Male candidates (Unmarried) of age between (i) For IMA: 19-24 years. (ii) For Indian Naval Academy: 19-22 years. (iii) For Air Force Academy: 19-23 years. (iv) For OTA: Male candidates (married or unmarried) of age between 19-25 years. (v) For OTA: Unmarried Women of age between 19-24 years. Technical Arms and Services (Engineers): Candidates must have a degree in engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized University in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/ Computer, Science/Electronics/Electronics and Telecommunication/M.Sc (Computer, Science / Architect/ Industrial/ Manufacturing / Production) For Army Education Corps: Candidates with MA/M.
