In chemical engineering, for example, an M.Tech qualifies you for jobs where you towards design plants. Your B.Tech qualifies you only to monitor plants, so more hands-on and less white collar. An M.Tech helps you specialize. A B.Tech is a very broad degree. A M.Tech gears you towards a specific field. (This is however dependent on the college you take up). Jobs higher up on the career ladder require an M.Tech. Unless you want to get into management, an M.Tech is reccomended. |
