SSC Combined Graduate Level CGL is an open competitive written examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission SSC for the recruitment of personnel for Grade- B and C categories posts in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations.

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor’s / Graduation degree from a recognized University

Applicant must be citizen of India

fall in the specified age limit.

The Date of Birth recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate will be considered valid only. Moreover, the maximum age limit is relaxed for the candidates from the reserved category.

(CBN) 18 to 27 years

Statistical Investigator Gr.II Not exceeding 26 years

Assistant/Sub Inspector in CBI 20 to 27 years

Age Relaxation-


OBC 3 years
SC/ST 5 years
Physically Handicapped candidates ( PH) 10 years
PH + OBC 13 years
PH + SC/ST 15 years

Important dates-

Application process starts 13-Feb-16
Last date for Part-I Online Registration 28 March 2016 (5:00 pm)
Last date of Part-II Online Registration 30 March 2016 (5:00 pm)
Date of SSC CGL Tier -1 exam 27 August 2016 to 11 September 2016
Release of SSC CGL Tier-1 Admit Card Available Now
Declaration of SSC CGL Tier-I Result Oct-16
Exam date of Tier-II Nov-16
Exam date of Tier-III and Tier-IV Jan-17
Declaration of final Result Apr-17

Application fee:

An amount of Rs. 100/- (One Hundred) is to be deposited towards application fee through the Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS) / SBI Challan or through Debit card/Credit Card/Net banking.

The fee payment is exempted for the Women applicants and candidates belonging to ST, SC Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen.
