shikha | Re: Met Audio Guide The Metropolitan Museum of Art Guide provides a comprehensive view of art history spanning five millennia and the entire globe. The Audio Guide spans over 3,000 audio and video messages, including tours for kids. New media is added on a continual basis. It is available on a free web app for your smartphone, and on a rental player at the Museum. Rent the Audio Guide Rent the Audio Guide player at the entrance to any of The Met's three locations or at select exhibitions. Rental includes same-day use at all three locations, with receipt. The following fees are per person, per day (sales tax included): Regular $7 Museum Members $6 Children under 12 $5 Groups of 14 or fewer $6 Groups of 15 or more $4 Audio Guide players are free for visitors who are blind, partially sighted, Deaf, or with hearing loss, and for New York City high school students with valid ID. Audio Guide players are $5 for all visitors after 5 pm on Friday and Saturday evenings. Discounted rates are available to pre booked groups. Languages The Audio Guide provides self-guided tours and popular stops in 10 languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German, and Russian). Accessibility The Audio Guide is free to visitors who are blind, partially sighted, Deaf, or with hearing loss. Audio Guide players have volume controls and headsets. Neck loops for hearing aids with T-switches are available upon request. Transcripts in standard and large print are also available for selected tours. |
