The department pursues post graduate teaching and wide area of interdisciplinary research activities. These include Sensors, Embedded Systems, Analytical Instrumentation using LabVIEW and Virtual Instrumentation, Photonics and LASER based Instrumentation. The program is mutually beneficial for both industry and the students. Teaching Programme- M. Sc. Instrumentation Science: Duration - Two years (Four semester course) Eligibility- B.Sc. with Physics / Electronics / Instrumentation Science / Computer Science / Vocational Physics / Electronics or B.E (E & TC) / (Instrumentation) This is Industry oriented TWENTY-FOUR months professional course. Ph.D. (Instrumentation Science)- The Ph.D. (Instrumentation Science) programme can be joined by the student through the entrance test at all India level. The fellowships are available to the students through the university funds. The broad areas for PhD students are Solid State Gas Sensors, Renewable Energy, Process Control, Distributed System and Power Electronics.
