| shikha | Re: FMGE Screening Test Medical Council of India Screening Test, also known as Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE), is a licensure examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in India. The test is one of the mandatory requirements for an Indian citizen who has a medical degree from a college outside India to practice medicine in the country. FMGE Eligibility Criteria Applicant must to be an Indian citizen/Overseas citizenship of India. Holds primary medical educational qualifications that are recognized by the Government of the country offering that degree and the holder of that qualification is liberty for practice in that country. Applicant must have obtained Eligibility Certificate from the MCI (Medical Council of India). This requirement will not be essential in manner of Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India who have acquired enrollment in foreign medical Institute before 15th March 2002. Cut-off rate for receiving the Primary Medical Qualification will be before the date of exam.
