| shikha | Re: National Talent Search Examination For Class 10 The National Talent Search Scheme is started in the year 1963. The purpose of the scheme is to identify talented students and nurture them. The NCERT will conduct the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) in coordination with states for students studying in Class X. NTSE in all States and Union Territories is conducted on 05 Nov 2016, 06 Nov 2016 & 13 Nov 2016. NTSE stage II is expected to be conducted on 14 May 2017. The National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class X is meant to identify the nurture talent. The examination is conducted every year at two levels – Stage-I (State Level) and Stage-II (National Level). First Stage National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) is conducted by States and 2nd Stage is conducted by NCERT. Scholarship: The Amout of scholarship will be : Scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month for class XI to XII Scholarship of Rs. 2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates. Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. be fixed in accordance with te UGC norms. Important dates: Stage I Examination in Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Andaman and Nicobar Islands 05 Nov 2016 Examination in All others States and Union Territories 06 Nov 2016 Examination in Bihar and West Bengal 13 Nov 2016 Stage II Examination in All State and Union Territories 14 May 2017 NTSE Reservation 15% scholarships will be reserved for students belonging to the SC category, 7.5% scholarships for students belonging to the ST category and 3% for Physically Challenged Group of Students.
