| Saksham | Re: IIT Kanpur Fest Antaragni Antaragni literally meaning the ‘Fire Within’ is a celebration of the creative spirit and youthful energy inherent in the country’s college students. Antaragni is the Annual Cultural Festival of IIT Kanpur. The festival was originally known as ‘Culfest’ which gave the generic name to college festivals in India. It was later re-christened to Antaragni in 1993. Event Details: 1. The 2012 edition of the festival was held between the 11th to the 14th of October. 2. 1,500 students from 150 different colleges across the country participated in the four-day Antaragni'12, 3. Winners received prizes worth Rs 45 lakh and incentives such as internships, mentorships and entry to workshops. 4. Festival co-ordinator was Mr. Abhay Mishra, Events: Ritambhara, the fashion carnival of Antaragni Synchronicity, The biggest rock competition in India, Theme for the festival was 'Dream On' Face-off in dance, Antaragni Idol in music, Flying Photography in camera art and Spell Bee in English literary competitions.
